Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2019 Nissan Sentra- Video
Hey everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at how the Yakima OffGrid roof basket fits on the 2019 Nissan Sentra. This is a great way to free up some space, if you have, let's say extra bulky items or you've got your sports equipment and you don't want them muddying up your vehicle's interior, you can put them on the roof with this basket. So I have the 40 by 44 inch long basket and I put this towards the front because you can have an 18 inch extension added onto this if you need the extra room. As you can see sitting there at the front, moving all the way to the back of the car if you need to load it up towards the back of the vehicle, you can do so. more

So the Curt Roof Basket is going to be an affordable way to free up some space inside your vehicle. So if you're carrying around sports equipment, those can get pretty muddy or snowy. Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2018 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Today inaudible 00:00:01 in an 18 Nissan Pathfinder. Were gonna be testing the Yakima upgrade rooftop cargo basket, which is part number Y07138. This basket is a great accessory for the roof rack to your vehicle, it's gonna allow you to carry any type of cargo, luggage, sports and recreational gear above your vehicle to make room on the inside. Or maybe you might wanna keep out a bunch of dirt and other debris that could come off of your cargo, or sports and recreational gear.Basket must 00:00:32 the roof rack of your vehicle, now with any roof accessory you put on, you are gonna have some wind noise and some drag. But to help out there's a fairing on the front that comes with the basket, that kind of helps minimize that drag and wind noise.If we go ahead and take a step up, we'll take a look at the inside of the basket. Now up top, we're gonna have 44 inches of space on our width, and then we're gonna have 40 inches on our length. more

Kuat Roof Basket Review - 2018 Nissan Rogue- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Vagabond X Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Rack, part number VX201. This measures 52 inches long by 41 inches wide, so that's a pretty decent surface area to store your camping gear, your sporting goods equipment, or your luggage, to free up some space inside your Rogue; and it also has two fork mounts up at the front here, so you can carry up to two bikes on your cargo basket while you travel as well.It does offer an extension piece that will go into the center here, and you can find that on etrailer.com as well. This has a carrying capacity of 160 pounds, which you always want to double check with the vehicles manual to make sure your roof can take those weights. It also has a nice aerodynamic shape to it, and that, coupled with the fairing up at the front here, that's going to help cut down wind noise and drag while you drive, and this is really nice compared to some of the other cargo baskets that have just the flat front here.So let's go ahead and show you how the last connection point goes into place. Set everything in place here. We'll start by placing our metal bracket on top of our plastic mount, and this is what sits in between the basket and the roof rack system. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT rooftop cargo basket, part number TH859XT. This basket measures 49" long by 40" wide by 6" tall at its tallest point. It has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, although you always want to double check for the carrying capacities of both your roof rack system as well as your roof itself to make sure you're not going to overdo it as far as putting weight on there.What this is designed to be used for is to store anything you want on top of your vehicle to free up space inside your vehicle, or if the truck bed itself is going to be completely full. You can use this for camping gear, sporting goods equipment. In some cases you can actually mount aftermarket spotlights up here as well.The aerodynamic shape of the basket coupled with the fairing that comes preinstalled, this is actually going to cut down wind noise and drag while you drive as well. This is very easy to install. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT. Now we already have our basket placed on top of our vehicle, we'll go ahead and show you how the last clamp goes on. Now one of the nice features is is that you do have four mounting points. Now these mounting points are adjustable so it's going to work with a lot of different crossbar spreads. We're going to take our u-bolts and we're going to come underneath the crossbar and we're going to come in and attach them with the provided wingnuts. These cargo baskets are perfect for getting any damp or oversized gear out of your car, that way you don't have to worry about getting the inside dirty. A nice feature of this cargo basket is that there's multiple tie down locations all around, and on the bottom. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. Now we already have our cargo basket placed on top of our vehicle, we'll go ahead and show you how it secures down. First, you'll notice that we have our pad sitting on top of our crossbar underneath the basket. Next we're going to take our u-bolt and come underneath, and it's going to fit right into the channel. Then after that we're going to take our plate, line up the holes, put it on top. Then we have these wingnuts that we'll secure down. One of the really nice features of this cargo basket is as you can see there's multiple locations all around the perimeter and in the middle for tie-down points, so you don't have to worry about finding any specific spot. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. Now we already have our cargo basket in place, and we have three of the attachment points already secured. We'll go ahead and show you how the last one goes on. I do want to mention when you put this on you're going to want to have this lower plate underneath the basket before you get any of your attachments put on. We're going to take this plate right here, and that's going to go right over top. There's two tabs that it's going to sit into, you line up the holes and it'll snap in place. Then we can take our bottom piece with the rubber facing up, come underneath the bar, and put our bolts in place. It does come with an included Allen key to tighten everything up. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima, we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. Now, as you can see we already have our cargo basket on our vehicle. I'll go ahead and show you how we get the last clamp on. As you can see here, there is a plate with a rubber pad mounted right here in between the basket and a 00:00:24 cross bar. Next, we're going to take another plate and it's going to go over the top and you're going to want to push it on getting it secure into the slots. Next, we're going to take the bottom plate making sure that the rubber's facing up, come underneath, and we're going to attach our bolts. We're going to go ahead and tighten these up. more

Today, on our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder we're going to be testing a Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. This cargo basket is going to be 41 1/2" long, 37" wide, and 4" deep. We already have three of the four mountings installed already. I'll show you how they're going to go on. There is a U bolt that is going to come underneath, and it's going to slide into this channel. Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video
Today in our 2017 Nissan Altima we're gonna be test-fitting the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. This measures 47 inches long by 35 inches wide and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double-check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that weight on the roof. This is great for carrying a wide variety of things that you don't want to keep inside, or to make more room inside for you and your family as you travel. You can carry anything from camping equipment, to sporting goods equipment, to coolers. We already have it for the most part installed on our roof. We'll go ahead and show you how the rest of it goes on. The first step when you put these on is to actually put these plastic brackets here in between the crossbar itself and the cargo basket, and it lines up along the bars here. Curt Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Quest- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the Curt cargo rooftop basket, part number C-1-8-1-1-5. This measures forty-one and a half inches long by thirty-seven inches wide by four inches deep. It has a carrying capacity of a hundred and fifty pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure that your roof can withstand that kind of weight. We have this faring here at the front which is going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving and if you would want something that's a little bit longer, Curt does offer an extension you could add to this, which adds about ten inches or so to the back, which you can find on "Etrailer.com". It's very easy to install. We have these U-bolts that just wrap around your actual roof rack and then tighten down with these knobs here. more

Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Juke- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Juke we're doing a test fit of the Inno Shaper 80 rooftop cargo basket. This is 46 and a half by 32 and a half inches, and has a 3 inch tall side. This also has a 110 pound weight capacity, and the part number for that is INXA568. We already have 3 of our 4 brackets secured into place, we've already adjusted it to the crossbar spread of our vehicle, made sure that it's out of the way of our antenna here in the back. We're just going to show you basically how we secure this last portion down. Connected to our bolt here, our nut, is that bolt and then we also have this spacer here. That slides in onto the channel of our crossbar, and then we place over this bracket. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we will be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon rooftop-mounted cargo basket. This Thule Canyon is going to be 49" long, 40" wide, have a 6" depth, and 150 pound weight capacity. It does have a nice sturdy finish, steel and sturdy construction, and also it offers the ability to add an extension. This part number is going to be TH859. As you can see, we already have three of the feet installed, and the last one we're going to show you how to put on. Another thing with this cargo basket is you're going to have to adjust the feet before you get it up on, by using the adjusting Allen screws right here, which will allow you to put it in the space that it needs to be to meet up with your crossbar spread. Just measure out your crossbar spread from center to center before you put it up on the vehicle, and adjust those accordingly. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker: Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Thule MOAB, that's M-O-A-B or short for Mother Of All Baskets. This is a rooftop cargo basket it's designed to mount on most factory or aftermarket rails. The part number on is TH690XT. Now we've already removed one bolt and wing nut from each of the four clamps, as you can see the lower portion is hanging down on all four of them. I always recommend removing the same bolt and wing nut from . or the wing nut and bolt from each of the same side, that way it's going to make it a little easier when we go to put it on.With those separated we're just going to grab the basket, place it right up on to the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System that we've already installed on the Nissan. Sometimes if you're tall enough you can just set them right up on the vehicle, in this case I like to just kind of work it over a little bit. Once we have the upper portions of our clamps sitting and resting right up on top of the load bars let's take a quick look to be sure we have it centered. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2012 Nissan Sentra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Sentra we'll be test fitting the Thule Mother-of-All Baskets Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number th690xt. With our roof rack system already installed onto our vehicle, we'll begin by placing our carrier onto the roof rack system. We'll swing the clamps around to make sure that each clamp goes under the crossbar. We'll feed the bolt through and tighten with the wing nut. Once we have all the clamps secured, we can then install the plastic covers that go over each clamp. Now our carrier is installed and we're ready to start loading it up. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2012 Nissan Versa- Video
Today on this 2012 Nissan Versa, were going to do a test fit of the M.O.A.B. Roof Basket from Thule, part number TH690. Now, our Versa has already been updated with a Thule Roof Rack System using the AeroBlades. So all I got to do is take our basket and sit it on top of the roof rack and fasten it down. Well go ahead and install the hardware from the clamps. Well tighten it down on just one side so it doesnt move around, then we can go ahead and tighten it down. more

Today, on our 2011 Nissan Altima, we'll be test fitting the Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Carrier, part number TH690. With our vehicle equipped with Thule Aero Bar Roof Rack system and our basket already preassembled, we'll go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll began by setting the basket on top of the cross bars. We'll center it from left-to-right. And we'll go ahead and tighten down using the included hardware. With our hardware tight and our basket secured to the vehicle, we can go ahead and install the hardware covers. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2006 Nissan Quest- Video
Today on this 2006 Nissan Quest we will be test fitting the Thule MOAB roof top basket. We have our basket put together and now we are ready to mount it up on the vehicle. First, we will place it on top of our crossbars and make sure that it is centered from left and right. Once we have our position where we need it, we can begin tightening the clamps down on our load bars. Once we have all the clamps tightened down on our basket, we can snap our covers into place. With the covers installed our basket is done, and we are ready to hit the road. more
